Meet Charly Wilson of Charly’s Chair
I got started in the industry knowing that I loved working with people and with my hands, and I’ve always had a passion for the fashion/beauty industry. After finding that I loved it, I worked hard to learn techniques, verbiage, and overall knowledge of the industry to grow my business. Lots of practice, classes and mentoring has been so helpful to who and where I am today!
I think there are bumps in everyone’s journey. Thankfully mine has been pretty smooth, but I did first start working at a salon that closed shortly thereafter and that was somewhat confusing and discouraging. Once I found Hush Salon and Day Spa, I knew I was at home!
So Charly’s Chair is my hair biz and I work at Hush Salon and Day Spa. I specialize in curly hair (added bonus: I have curly hair and know the struggles!), fashion colors and blonding services.
I am most proud of my attitude towards new challenges. Every day is different with different people facing different hair struggles and being able to adapt to each appointment, think on my feet and help others with each individual hair issue.
What sets me apart from others is my interest in helping you, whatever that may look like. I understand that we are all different and may require or want different things and I really like to listen to that!
I am someone who pretty much always wants to have fun and enjoy life, which results in that being a big part of my definition of success. Yes, I do want to grow my business, and meeting milestones in the Summit Salon Business plan helps me see exactly what that looks like. And I do want to be consistent about practicing things I need growth in and specifically areas I’m not comfortable in. But overall, I do want to enjoy doing that! Life is short, and for me having fun is a big part of being able to look back on my life with little regret. 🙂
