Meet Beka Hussong of 3BWaxing

My love for beauty began while in high school when I would create my own beauty products such as facial masks, face scrubs at home. Also I would wax myself at home as I was very hairy. I remember staying up all night as I created these products. During my years in high school, there was an esthetician program which I could apply to get my license by the time I graduated as I had a desire to open up my own salon one day. After High School, I enrolled in a degree program at the University of Arizona where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an Accounting focus. It was during this time that I truly began to love waxing and how it would boost the self-confidence of people when I helped them with their skin. I found my niche in helping people with in-grown bumps which made them move from feeling insecure to confident.

After university, I worked in the corporate world as I provided waxing services on the side. In 2015, this love for providing these services to people moved me to leave the corporate world and enter into skincare full-time. I then moved to California in 2016 and then finally opened up 3BWaxing in 2017. I worked for other salons for some time and soon decided that it was time to take the leap of faith and begin my own business. This would help me to have more flexibility instead of being confined to the protocols of another company. I wanted that sense of autonomy to be able to vacation whenever I desired as well. This leap of faith would also give me the privilege of being invested in my clients’ journey which would give me a greater chance to help them experience the best results.

This journey has not been easy, in fact, I have had to deal with quite a few bumps along the way. Beginning with my initial plan to become an Auditor after my accounting degree, where I discovered I didn’t want to go the route of being an auditor and working for a salon that way. I began to realize that I did not enjoy auditing and would not be able to stand it for a long period. This we could say was the very first bump in my journey as I had to make changes to my plans in order to attain my goal. When I first opened my business, the place where I rented made changes to their policies which would have adversely affected my client’s safety. This was extremely stressful as I had to move my salon promptly as my client’s safety was my priority. In the initial stages of my business, I would have various trials which would get the better of me as I would begin to think that everything would fall apart. I can say now, that I am at a more settled place in the business and I can now view my trials as opportunities to learn and grow. Though I would have these trials, I realized in retrospect that, in the end, everything would always fall into place.

Here at 3BWaxing, we specialize in skincare providing the following services: Waxing, this is where the hair is removed with gentle hard wax and my specialty is Brazilian waxing. Also, I do facials and chemical peels. The whole goal is to help people feel confident, sexy, and beautiful in their skin. I have my own exfoliating pads which I offer and sell to my clients and they tackle skin issues such as dullness, dark spots, ingrown hairs and acne. I am known for not just being committed to serving my customers with my physical skincare services but, I am known for providing them with advice and being committed to following up with and checking on them. I give a lot of free information on Instagram and Facebook to help my clients. It is a joy for me to make being sexy, beautiful, and confident the reality experienced by my clients. It has also been rewarding to be able to assist other estheticians with their businesses.

I can say that my business prides itself in carrying a genuine and rich flavor of professionalism. I am most proud of being able to have accomplished so much in such a short time and with all the people I have been able to serve with care.

My personal definition of success is being happy while doing what you love. The truth is, I work very hard to help people in an industry that I love and create the fulfilling life and legacy of success that I desire for my family.
