For most of my life, I was an extremely emotional Korean American kid who moved all over from multiple places in the U.S., South Korea, and back again. Throughout this whole time, I had major cultural identity & daddy issues and thus they were just sublime ingredients of a prime candidate to be infected in the world of acting.

I definitely had my fun with it through my time in high school at Seoul Foreign High School but my passion in the arts didn’t become solidified until I attended College of William & Mary. It was here when alongside the only Asian theatre professor in my college, we co-created a diverse performing arts group to put up original and established works written & directed by people of color artists. We also co-created the Asian American Studies major to which I have become the pioneer major. Since I graduated in 2009, it has grown into an official major & minor program with a faculty staff focused on that field.

I didn’t end up going into my next phase of life after graduation until 2010 (during which I got high with my awesome roommate on a daily basis and worked at Chili’s) and it was then I moved straight to Los Angeles to not only pursue an acting career but also simultaneously defending my decision to my parents who wanted me to be a lawyer because they feared I would live & die in a box. Yes, they indeed fulfilled the Asian immigrant tiger parent stereotype.

Over a decade later, I’ve done a gaggle of national commercials, TV shows, indie films, theatre, voiceovers, and have successfully transformed my love of Cinnabon into a profitable acting venture as it was my marketing tactic as an actor.

But all this time, my Asian American Studies major has never made me lose sight in my desire to see meaningful diverse representation in the media, whether it be for myself or others who are equally underrepresented or ignored. For the past few years, I’ve been writing for the pop culture blog THE NERDS OF COLOR which mainly deals with pop culture in the media and diversity. My current focus with them is writing reviews for Los Angeles theatre productions that has PoC artists as the main lead cast members, the director, and/or writer. That is, I was, before the COVID-19 pandemic radically changed all our lives for the time being.

I started acting as a child professionally at age 13. I went on to study at conservatories in London and then at ACT in San Francisco.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to start my own boutique, I’ve always been interested in being my own entrepreneur. I work at lax don’t get me wrong I love my job but I want to work for myself and I thought why not start my own little business. I started back in March just one day I said forget it ima start this and I started planning everything out I started off selling lipgloss , then I begin selling lashes and that lead to me selling onesies, clothes , slippers and etc.

Hi there! I am an actor/writer/director/producer and have been in the film industry for over a decade. As an artist, my work has evolved over the years. When I was 10, I got the title role in the musical theater production “Oliver!” I learned so much during that production, and it remains one of my favorite projects to have worked on, even though I now primarily work in TV/Film. That same year, I had the opportunity to be background on my first big film set for the film ALL I WANT IS CHRISTMAS. I sat directly behind Elliott Gould and David DeLuise and soaked up all of the knowledge I could from that experience. What an amazing introduction to bigger productions.
LAGGIES was one of the most exciting films I’ve gotten to be part of. Its list of stars includes Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell, Chloe Grace Moretz, Kaitlyn Dever, Jeff Garlin, Mark Webber, and Ellie Kemper. It was amazing getting to play a junior bridesmaid in the scene where Ellie Kemper’s character is getting married and Keira Knightley was the maid of honor. Something so memorable was that Ellie Kemper invited all the bridesmaids to her dressing room to hang out with her. She talked to us like we were all her girlfriends and she was so much fun. She left an imprint of how to handle celebrity and stay a beautiful person. Laggies was directed by the incomparable Lynn Shelton. She was one of the kindest and most talented directors I’ve ever met and I was blessed to work with her twice. She directed me in Laggies and I was so grateful to act with her in a secret project. She was such a bright light and a champion for women in film, for indie film and for the Seattle film community. One of my heroes as a filmmaker.
I was blessed to grow up in Seattle. At the time I was entering the film industry, the community had a special focus on mentoring the next generation of filmmakers. I was lucky enough to have many mentors and to have opportunities to learn more about more about the film industry; writing, directing, editing, FX makeup, cameras, etc. I am also grateful to have grown up in a town that promotes and encourages female filmmakers.
When I was 15, I won a grant from the Adobe Pitch Project to produce a project about a social cause. I teamed up with the non-profits Emerald City Pet Rescue and PAWS to make a short film about animal testing and animal abuse. When I pitched the film to Adobe, I had intended only to act and produce, but Adobe requested that I also direct and edit. While I have grown a lot since then, MISSING helped me grow as a more complete filmmaker. Two weeks after wrapping on MISSING, I produced my first film, GRIFTERS, in Los Angeles. I was hooked. I have now directed five films and produced eight films, along with writing screenplays and continuing working as an actor.

I am a big dreamer. Growing up I had a vision of having my own TV Show with a global audience. It was going to be a show that will ignite the greatness in people no matter their race, by them watching or listening to the guests I interviewed. The content of the show is to educate, motive, inspire and entertain my viewers. In school I was very good at English and loved telling stories. I was very interested in how people achieved their success and wanted to share their stories.
It was at a friend’s christening party when I was asked to step in for the master of ceremony that ignited my dream to become a talk show host. Before that, I was a sales assistant, beauty consultant and a sales director then became a stay home mum when my children were born.
