Meet Katie Robinette of SUCCS FOR YOU LA
My love of succulents started many years ago when my Mom introduced me to these resilient plants.
It all started one year at Christmastime when I wanted to make gifts for friends and something to take to parties but I didn’t want to bake (again). I wanted to make something that I really enjoy creating so I made succulent arrangements as holiday gifts and people loved them!
I kept creating arrangements and selling them because I just love making them so much and I wanted to share that joy with others so I started SUCCS FOR YOU LA.
It has not been a smooth road all the time. For example, you can make a whole lot of arrangements for a farmers market and if you don’t sell out, you have to figure out what to do with them afterwards! It’s not like selling clothing or an item with an almost endless shelf life, so you have to plant them and care for them until the next time you’re ready to create an arrangement.
I make handcrafted succulent arrangements.
We’re most known for those arrangements, particularly for special occasions.
Through my customers, I’ve been able to share in people’s celebrations – their anniversaries, weddings, baby showers, and other special occasions – or even just a little something to say thank you or I’m thinking of you. It’s a special thing to be able to share in that joy and add to it. Plus the name, SUCCS FOR YOU LA, always gets a smile and a laugh, which makes it all so much fun.
At this point, I define success as achieving the goal that I originally set out to achieve when I started SUCCS FOR YOU LA. I wanted to bring joy to others with my creations while making a profit too.
My hope is that these arrangements bring joy and life not just into the room but to the people who receive them.
