Meet Kevitta Jackson of Little Dot Solutions
I feel like I am just getting started honestly, but I have a ton of history that helped to mold me. I can say my quest to be financially independent and my nonconformist attitude led me down a path of entrepreneurship. I started out watching my mother operate her beauty salon. I can remember being a child seeing my mother create hairstyles, which ignited my passion for beauty among other entrepreneurial interests.
After high school, I went on to attend Texas Southern University. I’d studied Sociology and Political Science but this did not give me the creative freedom and fulfillment I had imagined. I quickly realized now that I was trying to “bottle lightning” and so after enrolling in beauty college, I began my entrepreneurial journey.
Not exactly a smooth road. Haha…You know, looking back I would be a little afraid of the road being smooth. I can recall attending beauty college in 2009, my father had passed away and that brought things to halt. This tragic event compounded onto my mother’s untimely passing (2007) after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002. My grandmother had also succumbed to kidney failure in 2007, and I didn’t feel the desire to be creative as everything around me reminded me of the adversities.
The grief had overtaken my entire existence, it became apparent that I was battling depression. I was reclusive and began to revert back to the corporate lifestyle but that was short-lived. I started to tackle my depression by focusing more on my faith among physical activities and surrounding myself with a solid support system. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline is one of my most precious resources. I encourage anybody that is struggling or “dealing” with depression to reach out to one of their caring reps.
Taking powerful, affirmative steps allowed me to feel inspired again, I was ready to jump back into the creative “waters” of entrepreneurship. As fate would have it, I discovered a mentor and super savvy business partner. We combined forces and started to develop a strong business plan with realistic goals. It was like a mindset shift and the universe followed. My first company Little Dot Solutions, emerged and was named in honor of my parents, K. Little and D.” Dot” Jackson. I also found a new purpose which is to shed light on finding the cure for Multiple Sclerosis through donations, organized walks, and research. So many families have gone through what my siblings and I went through and so we want to encourage others that it’s not over, we will BEAT MS!
Little Dot Solutions has been apart of the community since 2015. The purpose of this company was to offer solutions through logistics. For years I would contract through different warehouses and local events to serve the needs of many clients. As a female, this was challenging because most of this industry is male-dominated. Even with a team, you have to be aware of the physical restrictions or you could get hurt. I actually did get hurt on one of my jobs (not life-threatening) which led me to reconsider the market a bit more.
Now, Little Dot Solutions specializes in distressed property redevelopment, owner finance options, wholesale/cash buyer and rental properties. We buy homes in any condition and offer creative finance strategies. We are well versed and have partnered with some of the top investors throughout Dallas to ensure supreme satisfaction. So that when you do business with Little Dot Solutions, you can rest assured you’ve made the right decision. Our core values include trust, authenticity, and 100% total transparency. We focus on solving problems and our history has proven that we can provide REAL solutions through REAL relationships.
I am MOST proud to be a female serial- entrepreneur. In 2019, I launched Face Crown Beauty which is dedicated to my passion for artistry. It is gratifying to be an inspiration to others while maintaining the duty of carrying out my parent’s legacy.
I believe success is defined by the level of peace you can attain. Financial independence and charity work are some of the ways that you can achieve great peace if you operate in truth. Every night when you go to bed you should be satisfied that you did all you could to help the next person’s circumstance. And that person will continue the cycle of helping others reach their full potential. This is true SUCCESS.
