Meet Mary Killelea of 2B Bolder Podcast
I’ve been in tech and marketing for 20+ years in both the B2B and B2C space. My career includes being president and owner of a Portland-based boutique digital agency for 16 + years, being a Portland radio disc jockey, a producer of an online cooking show for WebMD, being a content strategist of a 26 million dollar global enterprise campaign and currently a server technologies customer stories strategist for a leading tech company.
The 2B Bolder Podcast was created out of my love for technology and marketing, my desire to bring together like-minded women, my hope to be a great role model and source of inspiration to my two daughters and other young women out there, encouraging them to show up and to be bolder and know that anything they dream of is possible.

I have always worked hard and whether it was working for myself or someone else I knew not to rely on others for the outcomes that I wanted. I knew that I needed to do the networking and skill-building to make my career goals come true.
I think the toughest part is, not having the self-confidence to know how much you really are accomplishing, so when you are working around the clock on a passion project or a job and you don’t have anyone patting you on the back or telling you are doing a good job – you tend to lose steam and allow yourself to become distracted. I think having targeted goals and understanding when you meet those goals are your nonverbal measurements of success. With patience and consistency, you start to see the progress and positive responses through the growth of your project. in life, it is important to surround yourself with others that are going to boost you up and encourage you and be your cheer leaders. It also is important to do that for others!
I am the host of the 2B Bolder podcast it features successful women who share career insights with the next generation of women in business and tech. It is my hope that these conversations inspire and empower listeners to believe anything is possible through hearing these women share their journeys, roles and responsibilities, tips, and advice.
I define success by feeling fulfilled and happy with how I spend my time. If I enjoy what I do then I feel I am one of the lucky ones. Don’t’ get me wrong – I also define success as being profitable. For it to allow you the flexibility and freedom to afford you the things you like in life. First, it’s important to find what you love to do and I believe there is a monetization formula for almost all things.
