Meet Rina Mora of Tiny But Mighty Coaching
My name is Rina. I am a former Massage therapist and a reiki practitioner. After 18 years in business, over 20,000 massages and one too many injuries, it was time to retire. After having made the decision to retire my practice and start a new venture, Covid hit and my new plan no longer felt genuine to me. I found myself feeling lost, disempowered and uncertain about where I was heading. I decided to reach out to a coach friend of mine and share how I was feeling. I shared my desire to be of service and wanting to help others be their best selves and live their best lives. It was after that conversation and a lot of reflecting on my own personal journey of growth and self-discovery, I realized that I wanted to help others on their journey through coaching.
I had never given much thought about how much I was already “coaching” people until I really began to look at my life. Along with running my own business, I also have an extensive background in management. I have been a trainer, supervisor, leader, manager and mentor. Now I get to take all those past experiences and lots of my own training, work and skills and share my knowledge with others to help them grow personally and professionally.
I feel like my whole life’s journey has been a beautiful set up to live out my true passion of coaching others to a more fulfilling journey of their own. It feels pretty amazing!
A smooth ride, not so much. It has been an interesting and insightful ride for sure. When I started my last practice 18 yrs ago I had had some management experience along with leadership experience, but I had never ran my own business. I knew nothing about marketing or how I was going to fill my books. I just knew that I was really good at what I did. Being a single mom I was wise enough to have another stream of income to keep me going during the building process. It was a blessing but it also meant that almost all of my hours were filled with work.
Early on I was invited to a networking meeting where I was exposed to the concept of building a referral based business. That is where it all changed for me. I learned the art of networking, how to build a successful referral based business, how to transition from being the worker bee in your business to being the owner of your business. I also learned that if you want the type of success that others have you have to do the things that they are doing to accomplish them. I also realized that I had to do the work on myself to have the proper mindset and discipline to achieve those goals.
I was learning all of this while raising myself and my daughter. Then at the peak of my business a recession hit. I had to learn to be flexible, get creative, pivot and be resourceful. All of this coupled with doing my own self work to become the type of person I needed to in order to really make my success happen and to reach my goals. It was during this time that I learned resilience and that if you just do the work, you can and will succeed.
So although it has not been smooth it has been rewarding and it got me to where I am today. I truly believe that all of those challenges are what prepared me to be the coach that I am now.
As much as I did not enjoy those challenging life and business moments, I recognize the lessons and the growth that came from them and am beyond grateful for them.
As a visionary life coach I help women find their Voice and stand in their Power so that they can live their Best Lives!!
This isn’t just something I took a course on. I have also done the work myself. I walk the walk and help my clients find who they “really” are. It is beautiful and powerful all at the same time. There is so much joy in working with someone and empowering them to stand in their own light. It makes my heart sing every time.
As a business coach I work one on one with my clients to help create systems and habits that promote more efficiency in the workplace. I support my clients by helping them develop the tools they need to promote growth within the business. I am a systems geek, so I love this work!
Not only have I done this work in my own business, I have also helped other businesses do the same. Over the years I have worked with medical professionals, retail businesses, health/wellness, Spa’s, and in hospitality just to give a few examples. Part of what I have done is bring in new systems, manuals, operational procedures, and so forth.
I truly have a passion for what I do and for helping others achieve personal and professional success in a way that works best for them. We don’t all think alike but we can all learn to create habits that support our growth.
For me success looks a little something like this. My clients achieving and exceeding the success they are working towards. My financial needs met and surpassed. Being in love with what I do every single day and entering and exiting my work day happy and satisfied.
My criteria for a client is someone that is ready to grow and willing to do the work to get there. Someone that is committed to themselves, their business and/or their journey. I am here for the person that is ready to take it to the next level.
