Meet Sabrina Nichole of Heart of Capricorn

Being a new mother of two and a military wife came with a list of new challenges to face. After struggling with postpartum depression I felt the need to grow into something more to change my state of mind. I have always loved to dress up and express myself through apparel, hair, and makeup. It made me feel good to see myself as a successful wife and mother and I wanted to share my outlet with women alike facing my same struggles. I decided to invest some money into myself and start my own online boutique. I named my store, “Heart of Capricorn”, referring to my horoscope sign and how perfectly it describes me. The “Heart”, of the title is based off of things that I love and care about. Since my debut in 2017, both my business and I have grown tremendously. My website now carries my blog posts, my podcast, which I co-host with a dear friend of mine, and my youtube videos, on top of including my shoes and clothing. I also participate in various events in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where set up my pop up shop and sell my merchandise. Its been a blessing to see myself grow as a business owner and as a woman. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for H.O.C.

Being a business owner always comes with an amount of risk. I’d be lying to you if I said it was easy. I have put in a lot of time and effort in creating my brand. I think the hardest thing for me to face was finding support in a very competitive environment and creating a group of business owners who support each other’s growth. Being a new business owner and trying to find support to no avail, was really frustrating. I have since found a great group of people who have helped me grow and I will be sure to be there for newer entrepreneurs when they face these struggles. All the obstacles I face become worth it when I receive amazing feedback at my pop up events that remove all my anxiety that I ever had in doubting my potential. Fear of failure is real, but so is the faith I carry in myself to succeed in life as an entrepreneur.

I’m the full package. I provide quality merchandise, podcast, blogs and I share my life with my supporters through my website. I re-create clothing to give it new life by adding a little bit of my style into anything that I do. The online content I create is to help others get to know me on a personal level. Its important for me to express myself as an artist because it’s an outlet away from my daily duties of life as a mother, wife, coworker, daughter, and friend. It’s something completely created by me, that no one can ever take from me. I think what sets me apart from others is the care that I put into my work. I love the process of creating the atmosphere for my consumers that makes their shopping experience fun by creating a new theme or vibe for every one of my pop up shops.

Success to me is achieving the personal goals I set for my brand. The end goal for myself is to have a massive following that supports not only Heart of Capricorn, but each other. I want to constantly be making people enjoy their shopping experience, create a profitable business and to have others see that they can take their passions and make them into something real no matter what obstacles they face. I want my children to say, “Hey, mommy made it and I can too!” A millionaire mindset for an empire of fashion, fun, and creativity!
