Meet Sybil Summers of 98.7 KLUV
I started as a caller on an overnight talk radio show in 2001. I was going to college for media, working at a doctor’s office, and bartending … why not add an internship to that chaotic schedule? Got hired, and although I’ve been through multiple iterations of shows and station formats, I’ve been with the company ever since! Radio is my passion.
I’ve been hired and fired, promoted and demoted, married and divorced. It’s all part of this crazy thing we call life.
I host afternoon drive 2-7pm CT on 98.7 KLUV. We play classic 80s music, talk with listeners who call in about current, local issues and pop culture, and mainly try to keep people entertained at work and on their drives home. Emphasis on the word “try”. Haha.
I have a lot of pride in my work, and career has always been the #1 priority for me. (See “divorced” comment above. Lol.) As long as I am connecting with the community, representing my station and company in a positive way, and am able to feed my rescue dogs, I consider that a success.
